Be Mine

Last Sunday was the last day of the World Cup 2010 and finally Spain was the winner for the first time. I was little bit sad because Germany was lost and got only the 3rd place.  Every day I waited and saw every match and at the end I felt happy that the World Cup was over :) It made me forgetting to create cards. LOL =))

This morning I took a look at the CPS's site and I'm interested in creating a card using their sketch. As usual I designed and drew my own materials before I created the card and here's my work :

When I created a card for the first time, I was a little bit confused because I didn't have any materials but I tried to create with my own methods. We can use simple materials like I do. I like simplicity. I tried to decorate my card as simple as possible.

This time I also create a simple one, I draw a heart and fill it with little stripes and cut it using scissors. To make the heart more catchy I put the little heart in the middle of the picture. I printed "Be Mine" using my printer on white paper and cut it 2.5"X2.5". I stuck the heart on a red ribbon I placed beforehand.

I was also drawing and creating another pattern papers, as you can see I used 3 different papers - a small and a big stripes paper and white-red lines. I cut these pattern papers each 1"X3". I put them all together and stuck the heart picture in the middle. Finally I stuck all together on red paper that I pierced before.

Congratulations

This evening I just finished my "Congratulations" card which is based on a sketch at CPS #172.

The color I chose is based on White Birch Designs product of The Etsy Inspired Shop Challenge #93.

Actually I prepared some papers to create this card but it seemed they didn't match each other so I chose another paper with simple character. Here's my work :

First Cupcakes

There were many things happened last week. First, I was glad that my long-waited package finally came. Two, I was chosen as the winner on EIC #89 last saturday. Three, Yesterday was my husband's birthday.

On Saturday evening I made cupcakes for the first time and the result were 49 cupcakes laid on my table. When I started to make Butter Cream Icing, I have mistakenly read the recipe; instead of sifted confectioners sugar I put granulated sugar for my BC Icing. LOL. In the end I made the Butter Cream Icing again, but this time with the right recipe and later I mixed them with my first BC ;)) Voilaaaaa here's the result:

My daughter was the first who tried it and she said it was delicious and today she got 2 cupcakes for her snack during the break in the class. The rest of cupcakes were brought to my husband's office for his colleges.
I hope I can do much better in the future ;)

After I finished my cupcake work, I started to make a simple card. It was for Hannah Gröger who was born 3 days ago. Hope she will grow as beautiful as her name :)

First Cardmaking : CPS #164

Several weeks ago I've followed the site describing about "Card Making". I tried to search what tools that I need to make a card. The more I search the more I feel confused to start because I think I couldn't afford all tools since their prices are very expensive.

So, I tried to make my own way to create my first card and I'm trying to enter "Card Contest" using this layout :

Here's my work :

I used my own paper design called "falling in love" and I created the die cut - heart - using printer and cut it using scissor. I hope I can make it better in the future and I can afford some tools that can be used for card making.
